This tells the story of early medical practices. The Egyptian physician and his instruments were buried (alive) with the pharaoh. The bust of Hippocrates represents the origins of logical medical thinking. And then DaVinci's man is bled to cure most of his ailments. Rembrandts anatomy lesson; and later the discovery of the microscope takes medicine out of its cave. The middle sphere depicts early pharmacology with the foxglove (digitalis) and concurrent development of eastern practices. The best doctors were those who could amputate the fastest.
